I thought it would be fun to list our favorite decorating colors.

I have 3 favorite combos:

yellow & blue
yellow & pink
blue & lavender

I also like touches of green with all of the above!

I really like red, but it is hard to balance, and it is such an aggressive color. I find coupling it with a strong blue does a lot to temper it though.

Otherwise.....neutral browns and tans w/ appropriate accents

I'm partial to reds, red-oranges. They darken a room but I like dark rooms anyway and they are so dramatic I just love them.

ivory and sage with a hint of gold or rich cherry wood with deep rich leathery browns and maroon.

Does anyone have different decorating colors they prefer with the changing seasons? Warmer colors in the colder months, lighter in the warmer months?

My most favorite color is blue. My kitchen window is full of blue glass. Just for fun I have a little suncatcher (it is an angel) that is red and that tiny bit of red catches your eye.

I love earth tones also. My bedroom is a light mint. I think it is such a restful color.

I love white on white, which is really different shades of cream. It is so peaceful.
