I remember the kind of respect American business had before the Iraq war. I can distinctly feel the difference now. People feel that americans are arrogant and have taken the role of policing the world. Earlier the image of America was that of a land of freedom. Now it is that of a bully.
Why does President Bush not worry about the hurt he is causing to American image and business? Somebody should tell him this.

America has always had this 'bully' atttude. Every conflict it has engaged in, it started it.... Right back to trying to eliminate the American Indian population....It's been downhill ever since. At one time we used to regard 'Uncle Sam' as a loveable, larger than life but rather naive country. Now it seem to have got arrogant and a bully, which is very sad!

cdmohatta, I can't imagine what you are gauging your information on about America. Who and what is YOUR source for the info saying that Americans are arrogant? We still are the Land of the FREE, which is WHY we have a problem with so many people always trying to get into our country. The only people that we want to bully are the terrorists who come to the good old USA to destroy our country, our freedoms, our safety, our economy or our peace and security.

Why then do you participate is spreading such hatred for a country whose people have never showed you anything but friendship and acceptance? My country has done nothing to you personally that you should want to align yourself with those few who would call a person, who fights against terrorist, a "bully". We, the Americans, did not start the attacks on our World Trade Center, the Pentagon, the Twin Towers or any other innocent American attacks, but we will not toloerate for them to continue. We WILL stand up against the terrorists and that means we are STRONG, not bullies!

I am sure there are some lovley people in America and I know alot of them but I am sorry to say that worldwide America has the reputation of being very arrogant. I dont know why,society in A,merica is breaking down at an alarming rate.Your president can spend billions on a war and invade another country but people in America cant even get help to see a doctor or pay for medicine.
Where I live thats all free.

Trish I participate on many forums. that gives me some information. I have greatest respect for America, but now a days it is getting a bad name for no good reason. Please think about your companies that are spread around the world. Their international operations are suffering. everytime people want to protest any where they choose Coke pepsi or Mac and start destroying their properties. Slowly many of them are stopping buying American goods in middle east. Please help stop this loss.

I do all my business with Americans. My son is going to US for further studies. I love the USA. that is why I feel very hurt when its image gets a bashing.
