Just saw this on Yahoo. This man pulls a gun on his son's coach because he didn't get enough playing time. It is the 6-7 yr old group.

What is the worse thing you have seen take place between coach and parent?

When i was in high school I was a band geek. We were at a football game and our team was undefeated and were kicking another team quite badly. when the teams and coaches were going in for halftime a few parents started after the players and coaches and started attacking them, and then it turned into the entire other team's fan bench going after the kids. Aye!

It is never good when parents are after the players.

We actually had a fight on our field this yr. It was our first home game and when we were to celebrate our head coach's 300th win. The fans usually go on the field after the game, but we stayed in the stands for the post game 300th celebration. As our guys were coming off the field and shaking hands, a player from the other team started pushing one of our players who kept backing up away from him. Luckly, it was stopped quickly and our guys kept their heads about them. But it would have been ugly if the fans had been on the field.

Our organization requires all youth football coaches to go through training. The class includes an ethics contract they have to abibde by, football plays etc, same deal for the parents. Coaching football teams isnt as fun as it was a few years ago.
