So many books suggest that you imagine that you are a very rich person and that will happen. Is this true?

I don't think just imagining will do it for you, although it will help. Many of the things I've read suggest getting very, very clear about what it is you want in life and then writing it down. Keep you list handy and read it whenever you can. Maintain a positive attitude, feel good about yourself and your life and visualize yourself living the life you dream about.

If you consistently follow a plan similar to what I've explained above, you'll see big changes in your life.

You might want to check out http://www.scienceofgettingrich.net. You can download the book for free. It's fantastic.

Good luck!

I am reading a very good book right now, Ask and it will be given by Jerry and Ester Hicks which addresses this and offers lots of helpful information. Also, books by Dr. Wayne Dyer are good.

One thing about using imagination (intention) to acquire money, is, I think, you have to address the spiritual side of this. Money isn't everything. You can have many things to make your life better but you have to be prepared to use it for good, for yourself and others.

Positive thoughts are a big part of this, about yourself and others. Once you start down this path, you might be very suprised at where you end up.

I'd like to add a thought: There's one thing about abundance and money that I suspect blocks many people. Deep within our subconcious mindsets, many of us carry around some sort of belief that they are either not worthy of becoming more financially independent, or that 'money is the root of all evil', or other such thoughts which can create roadblocks. Even in the act of paying our bills every month, how many of us subconsciously dread opening them and submitting payment? Breaking down the barriers of belief that we are somehow not worthy, or are destined to be without, can go a long way to helping, once they are recognized.

Yes! I once read that it's good to be glad we can afford to pay our bills. And, I also affirm that I have more than enough money to pay my bills on time and have a surplus!

I believe you're right we have to remind ourselves that we have just as much right as others that we see who are financially independent to be so ourselves. And to get out of the mass consciousness of grumbling or complaining about bills.
Thanks for the reminder! <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

You have made a very appropriate statement.
