My son had one just like yours he named Red, White and Blue. Leave it to an 8 year old to give a fish a name 25 times longer than he actually is in length. He called him RWB for short. lol

I called him simply Red.

Let us know what you decide. <img src="/images/graemlins/fish.gif" alt="" />

Japanese names are always really cool for Betta. I took Japanese for 5 years and find it to be a beautiful language especially if you want something descriptive that doesnt flow in english but does in Japanese. For example, my fish, as you can see by my signature, is named Akashi. This means: "red death" hahahahah.

Colors you could use would be: 1.aka-red, 2.ao-blue, 3.kiloi-yellow, 4.murasaki-purple, 5.kuro-black, 6.shiro-white, 7.midori-green, etc.

Also some interesting words to put them together with could be: 1.shi-death, 2.enma-devil, 3.hana-flower, 4.akuma-demon, 5.momo-peach, 6.ame-rain, 7.tsuki-moon, 8.hoshi-star, 9.yama-mountain, 10.mizu-water, etc

I hope that helped!

Languages are great for souces of names. I use a lot of Hindi words.

Choti-small
Lall-Beloved
Putchka-small deep fried bread pockets
Guttoo-Heavey eater

Anyway you get the idea.

By the way the spellings are my own and are not acurate.

We've been working on a name for our Betta since October 18th. My mom has a great sense of humor and suggested a couple that I wanted to share here...

"Kitty, Kitty" and "Tweety-Bird" were her suggestions, lol.

It's mostly my boyfriends Betta (I bought it for him) so I'm kinda hanging back and letting him decide and for him that equals p r o c r a s t i n a t i o n <g>

Kitty, Kitty for a fish's name...rofl.

(((Everyone)))
