Is there anywhere, possibly online, since I don't live close to any tatoo parlors, that one can go to to get ideas for what they'd like to have done? I've seen some art at faires, but haven't found the one that fits me best.

The web is saturated with tattoo art. I recommend to folks that they try and narrow down what they are looking for, otherwise you just wind up with web searches that are never-ending.
You might want to start by checking out the category for Design Resources and see if any of that helps you get closer to what you are looking for.
When people email me and ask for tattoo suggestions, I often suggest they think about what they *really* like or what/who they are trying to symbolize.
