In Philadelphia, some parents are upset over the content placed on a school calendar. it's a morality issue for them.

What do you do when your school promotes or teaches something you don't approve of? Do you go to your school? Talk to your child? Head straight for the press?

I tried to go to the school one time when I lived in NY and discuss some of the music that was played during the 7th and 8th grade dances. They thought I was some radical Christian and tried not to laugh at me. They said the very same thing my "children" said. "No one listens to the words anyway."
I think it all has to be taught at home. No matter where you live, I live in Utah now, it is still hard to separate
what we know is right and what they see and learn in the world. More and more it becomes the responsibility of Parents to hold strong to the standards setup in the Strength of Youth Pamphlet.
It might not hurt to talk to your school leaders. You might meet to a better reception than I did. It sure would help to have that support.
