I don't like the quote ,"This country needs women to have babies". Sounds like something from The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood -- we have to breed for society's sake! Most people aren't thinking that when they're making kids (even the parent-not-breeders). Again, the whole entitlement thing...we're breeding for mankind. Frankly, I think some of the people in our society would do mankind a bigger favor by NOT having kids!

Just because they meet requirements makes me wonder how many actually work there. That would be a more interesting stat to look at. Percentage of working moms to men. And the quote about "this country . . ." I can't believe a woman said that. Because, you know, there aren't enough people already taxing the environment and its resources. What a dip s h i t!

Eh. I'd rather know who's family friendly and who provides benefits to life-partners. But that's me.
Maybe all the moms will go find a spot with one of these companies...
Wishful thinking.

Truthfully, I have no problem with the idea of being "family friendly" as long as it's equal opportunity and my family counts just as much as anyone else's - meaning my furry or extended family. Luckily, my current company is pretty flexible about leaving for appts, be they dentist, vet or pediatrician. I don't know how I'd feel about on site daycare or breastfeeding lounges, though. That would be a little creepy to me.

[color:"darkred"]"This country needs women to have babies". WTF ever. That is yet another perfect prime example of how kid centric our society is. They should instead make birth control covered by insurance and CHEAP! They should also push for birth control onto people so they can cut the [censored] and have people get their act togther!!!!!
WE ARE OVERPOPULATED ENOUGH AS IT IS!!!! HAVE YOU SEEN THE TRAFFIC JAMS ALL ACROSS OUR NATION IN THE CITIES???? IT'S HERENDOUS!!!!! i.e. TOO MANY PEOPLE!!!!!
That would be why we should push not only for birth control, but only .1 kids per household, but not for everyone, only those who think they have to reproduce for some damn reason.
Now I know which companies are full of [censored]. [/color]

Yep, stuff like paid maternity leave turns me off. Now, if they offer same-sex-partner benefits and a health insurance that covers birth control...then they're cool in my book!
Ew. One of those companies is in my hometown. Another one is where my ex's mom works (that one's also on the list of "best companies to work for" according to Fortune 500, it's probably on there because of fantastic mommy opportunities, gag me). Luckily none of them are anywhere I've ever considered working.
