Miss Meow,

That is too funny. I can picture it in my mind, and I bet you're right about the shrimp!

Both my bettas are leaving the frogs alone. Pinky chases the oto at times, sorta eyes him like he might be tasty, but I haven't seen him take a bite. I guess Bashful is quick enough to avoid Pinky.

Sweetie has a good ignore going on with both her tank mates.

Meow..

I think I would keep an eye on that frog....I was talking to a fella at one of the fish stores and he said that those frogs get aggressive. Of course..I don't know how knowledgeable he was...but it couldn't hurt to watch that frog and make sure he doesn't try to eat your betta! eek

Emg :rolling:

Miss meow, that is pretty funny about your frog hanging onto the betta! maybe he WAS saying 'those are my shrimpies!'

I would not really worry about these frogs being agressive, I've never heard that. But Emg is right, just pay attention, and move him if necessary. he might be the exception that proves the rule. All my frogs are really shy, very Zen-like. SOunds like yours is ready to party!

yup, Nan, my bettas eyeballs my oto cats too, and even their corys, and sometimes chase them, but I have not had any deaths. usually the cats are pretty tough and just go about their own biz.

Ok, I admit it, I'm an addict!

I went to a pet store last night to look for a heater -- ha! I found a purple boy -- now named Graple. (combo of grape and purple.) Of course, I couldn't just leave him in his tiny cup, so I went to Walmart and got an aqua view plus tank for him, and since I was there, gravel, and another ADF. My son named him Speedy. This one is pale in comparison to the other two.

Suddenly Pinky is building a massive bubble nest  & Graple is also starting one. I put him in a peace lily vase I had because I'm planning to put them into a different room as soon as the flooring gets done downstairs. And Sweetie is brilliant colors again! I guess she just needed inspiration from competing guys. lovers

I'll try to get a photo of him posted soon. I couldn't believe he was really purple. There was another fish at the store with fin rot, and I took him up to the clerk. She took him off to the back for treatment, and I got nervous that he was heading for the toilet. The other clerk assured me that she really was going to give him some BettaFix. "Oh no, we would never give up on a live fish." fish

The funniest part of last night was the clerk at Walmart trying to get me one frog.

She was covering the fish department for someone who called in sick. She was terrified of the frogs. eek Every time she would catch one, it would hop & she would yank the net back. eek

Finally, after about 15 minutes of this  I grabbed the net and caught one immediately. She was acting all nervous and admitted they scared her because they jump.

I am so happy to see so many pics posted..that aren't MINE!!

Now....make sure you save room in your house for one (or two?) of my fish folks! I am watching how fast they are growing..and starting to count my jars...think I am a bit short there..must scrounge some more.

Er, uh, well, maybe if I get a divided tank for them. I'm starting to get short on space! eek Of course, having a beautiful hand raised baby would be fun. . . fish :music:
