BellaOnline Forums News and Politics Urban Legends 419 Scam sent to me

Okay so it isn't bad enough that they clog yahoo email accounts with this scam they also send it via private messages on Forums.

The message that I received showed classic signs of the 419 scam as it was typed in all capitals, had several misspellings and of course someone had passed away leaving the author of the letter MILLIONS of dollars which they were willing to cut me a percentage of if I helped them.

To the person who sent me, the Urban Legends Editor, the 419 Scam letter I want to thank you for the laugh. You SERIOUSLY did not believe that I of all people, one who seeks to inform people of hoaxes etc, would fall for your offer.

If you have received this via private message do not respond to it and delete it.

If you have received a 419 scam email and want to share it with me PLEASE make sure that you state in your email that you are doing just that. I would like to put up a collection of the variations of this scam.

Thanks! I hope you are just deleting them. Next week's article for the Urban Legend's site will take a look at the message I received and I will point out the classic 419 scam signs.
