Hmm... is there a pattern available for this particular shawl? Also, pardon my ignorance... but what kind of yarn/thread was used for this one? I've not seen it in my ventures into my local Walmart. It looks really pretty. fish

hi i think it is ribbon yarn. and it is really pretty, but wow what a price. doesn't look that hard. mostly chains i think, what does everyone else think about this. am i right? darn it the graemlins aren't working:-( let me know what you guys think about this. might be pretty easy to make. i know this yarn is really expensive, about 6 or 7 dollars for a little skein of it. yikes....... have a nice weekend. nerwyn

Are you referring to the Newlywed Shawl pattern? I didn't think that was the same stitch to me. Looks different in the other pictures I thought.

that looks m ore like the stitch from the jewel box shawl ..

which is super easy i have made one... you can get the ribbon yarn at michaels.. but its kind of pricy.. like 6 dollars a skien..my advice.. pick a nice yarn in the colours you like then fringe with the more expensive yarn that coordinates..

hmm... I did a search for the Jewel Box Shawl. Is this the pattern you are referring to?

Miekki,
I enlarged the picture and , it is a multicolored YARN,the ribbon is only the fringe.
The pattern is the same Jewel Box patern that KEERON made and posted.
The E-bay site says it is made in a multicolored Yarn and done in the Blossom stitch.
But I am making an oblong Scarf ( based on the instructions from the Jewel Box Shawl >
trc V-stitch )and it looks like the Blossom stitch, but the stitch is very simple and is not made like the Blossom stitch.
I hope I am making myself clear.
It works more like the 8 Bar stitch looks.

Here is a dark colored yarn in that pattern
