well, not saltwater. and that is just becuase i am too new at the fish hobby to take care of saltwater. otherwise i would. but as for tropical and freshwater, ya. and as soon as i do more research on fish, to know about salt, then all types. i am mainly in the need of larger sized tanks. i have contacted my local fish stores to see if they would want to donate. and i have not heard back from them yet. my boyfriend thinks that i am gettin in over my head. so far though, i think i am doin pretty well. and fish is something that i love. almost as much as doing hair. lol.
i was raised in ahome where rescueing animals was a part of daily life. and never have i seen anyone do this. and here recently when i was talking to a lady about her life, she gave me her fish tank and all her fish. she said that she just cant take care of them anymore. she just doesnt have the time. then another person told me they just dont have the desire anymore. so, being the animal lover that i am, and being very much in love with fish, i took them in. and here recently the idea to do this on a regulay basis and to make it public seemed like a good idea. its just getting started that is the hard part.
i dont have money and i dont have very many tanks, filters, heaters, or pumps. actually i only have one filter, one heater, and one thermometer. the heater and thermometer bounce a lot. but the pump stays in one tank. i have room in my cement basement to set them up. and i have comeup with a way to save room with all of the tanks. its just a matter of getting the tanks and the supplies. i dont have a very good car. ok i dont have a very reliable car. lol. i hope that answers some questions. i just want to make somewhat of a difference in this world. its not great and nothing special, but it is something that i enjoy and it saves lives in the process.
