I had the following dream last night.

I was stood before the entrance to a large cave and there were these long deep red velvet curtains hanging at the entrance. There was a large yellow square of material sewn onto each of the curtains and on each yellow square was a symbol in black (apologies I cannot remember the symbol)

The dream jumped suddenly and I was stood inside the cave and a man was talking to the devil (devil was 15 feet high and was a typical "devil" looking devil. The man was old and the devil was making a deal with him. I tried to shout to the old man and tell him to stop but no sound came out. The man then walked through a side door and I didn't see him again.

The dream skipped back to the main entrance to the cave and two young boys entered. One was about 6 and the other was about 8. I was trying to stop them from going in and was telling them to leave and get out but they wouldn't. The dream skipped ahead again to this other room where the devil was and the boys were asking for sweets and the devil was spelling out a suitable repayment. I was again screaming and telling the boys to leave that it wasn't worth what they would have to pay. I managed to grab the youngest boy and hauled him to my side. I was pleading with the other boy to leave the room because it was dangerous. The boy simply said "I'm sleepy, I'm going to lie down."
I tried to make him wake up but he wouldn't and I was crying and shouting at him to leave. I finally realised that nothing I could say or do would make any difference. So I dragged the other child out of the room and down a gray corridor into the main entrance. I shoved him through the curtains and out into the open and I knew he wouldn't be able to get back in. When I turned the devil was stood behind me.

I remember feeling very afraid and then the devil started making offers to me. Wealth, popularity and all of the most wonderful things you could ever want or desire. All throughout I remember feeling resolute that I would never give in to him.

When he had finished showing me all the things that would come my way, I simply said "No, I do not want any of what you are offering because there is nothing which is of equal value to my soul".

Then I walked through the red velvet curtains out into a grassy valley with the sun shining overhead. I didn't look back to the cave. I was barefoot and could feel the grass underneath me feet and I just walked away and that was where the dream ended.

What would your thoughts be on this? I'd be interested to hear some interpretations.

What a fantastic dream!

Well done- you really can't be bought. I think this is a dream about holding to your highest integrity. Maybe something will come along soon to tempt you- or already has- but you'll know to resist because it is out of integrity for you. As for the other characters- I read it that you are someone that will try to save others from stepping off their true path too- sometimes you won't be able to stop them getting into trouble & you'll have to accept that you can't help everyone.

I'm unsure about the interpretation of the people in my dream. The reason being, I'm not what I would consider a busybody type who tries to instill my beliefs in people. I will offer my opinion if asked, but I don't try and change peoples minds about their beliefs or choices. Hmm have to have a think on that one. Maybe I need to work out if the people were in any way representational of people in my life.

I've had another one about the devil, but I'll probably put that in another post later. Don't want to hog the forum with my wierd dreams!

When I read your Devil Dream, my impression was exactly what Lauren said. And post your dreams, we need some more to ponder...

Gokudo, that was one heck of a dream! Dreams are often a way that the spirit realm communicates with us.

Something that is VERY important for people to understand right now is that the veil is thinning. This is due to prophesy being fulfilled.

What this means is that God is giving us signs and warnings of what is to come in the very near future. Christ's Kingdom and the coming judgement for those that reject it.

Your dream is fairly straight forward. Its about the Spiritual War going on all around us. As in your dream, there is no sitting on the fence.

That is the same passage of the Bible that opened up for me when I sat & asked for guidance a couple of months back. I've never read the Bible cover to cover, so when I read this my jaw dropped. This passage seems to fit very much with the huge growth in spiritual seeking & the sudden expansion in people's perception once they step on the path of spiritual development. I find my students learn faster & faster & are ever more perceptive.

Being the eternal optimist I hope that the end of days will be the end of this limited world view we have locked ourselves into & that the way will be cleared for a brighter 'more real' world where we have integrated our spiritual selves into our lives.

I've just read CS Lewis' The Last Battle to my son- we read the chapter at the end tonight when they step into the Real Narnia that is so much more beautiful, brighter & clearer than the Narnia they had believed was their whole world until it ended.

When I read your reply the hairs on my arms stood out and I got goosebumps.

I'll submit another post for my other dream which had the devil in it, but first I've got to have some food because I'm hungry.
