The dryness of my hair made them even worse.

Do you think Nioxin vitamins can help my hair? and btw how long does it take you to see the effect?

I suspect that the cuticle of your hair is damaged. Most people say that their hair feels rough when the cuticle gets damaged. You should try conditioning regularly and observe the results.

Nioxin has a line for medium to coarse hair that is wonderful for moisturizing and smoothing. - That would be Systems 5 thru 8. - Some people see new hair growing in within the first month, others may not see it for 3 months. It varies with the individual.

Below is a traditional natural method on how to have thickness of hair...
Pound 5 pieces of lime grass and boil them with one liter of water. Rub it to your hair every morning. Do it every day until you find that your hair become thicker. The lime grass boiled can be used until 2 week.

Thats an interesting remedy. Can you elaborate on it? How long do you boil it? Do you rub the lime grass into your hair or the water?

Can the cuticle be repaired? Or it's natural which is genetic? I read on the net that if you use lemon/vinegar with water can make the hair softer...

I mean will my hair become more smooth, softer, less coarse and healthier?

Or Nioxin is only for promoting hair growth and thicker hair?

Btw, is it possible for hair to be very thick but yet very soft???

Cuticle is the outermost covering of hair that gets damaged with chemical treatments, rough handling etc. It has a tile like structure. Once it is damaged, the cortex of hair is exposed and makes hair more prone to damage. When cuticle gets damaged, the tiles shift and you feel that your hair is rough. Conditioning repairs the damage over a period of time.

I think that this thread is getting confused. We should rather talk about the Vitamins only.

Nioxin is for promoting growth but is also for promoting healthy hair. The system for medium to coarse hair will help to soften and smooth your hair.

My hair is thick but also soft.
