As loving dad to several bettas living (Boy Blue, Jet, Rocco, Scooter, and Cricket [female]) and a couple splashing in the great Puddle in the Sky (Mojito, Bandit), I've endured heartbreak greater than I thought imaginable for my finned kids. I now am faced with a very sick, and dying little boy, Rocco, who has been given several courses of gram negative and positive antibiotics, and assorted other remedies with no success. Rocco has advanced dropsy and has hung on to life for the past month like the tough guy he is. The thought of euthanizing this sweet boy makes me cry, but I can't endure another day of watching him suffer. I offer a gentle and painless method I've found on a very good website to those of you in similar circumstances; it seems more humane than the freezing method I've read on this site.
