There was an article on Yahoo! news yesterday (can't find it today o f course) about how more and more spas are catering to children.
Now, I don't usually care whether or not kids are present when I visit a shop or business. But I draw the line at having a toddler in the chair next to me getting her hair done. Not to mention having them running around whining while I'm getting a massage.
That's just ridiculous!

I would never attend a spa where children were welcome.I think alot of people feel the same.People go to these places to relax and to unwind not to have kids around. [color:"blue"] Dito! [/color]

Why is it that kids have to invade everything? Can there be nothing off limits to them? If people have kids, they need to realize that it's not appropriate to drag them EVERYWHERE. They should find a babysitter or stay home. How can you relax at a spa with kids running everywhere?

OM this is totally insane! Who in the world is going to go to a spa when there are kiddies on the loose? If I see any little munchkins running around the spa/salon I go to I would exit stage left pronto! AND not come back!EVER EVER <img src="/images/graemlins/devil.gif" alt="" />

Egad!
I thought the whole point was for people to get away from their stressors, not invite them to the spa!

I go to the spa to relax, not to hear kids running around. Even if they are well behaved kids, I do not want them in the spa with me. Is nothing sacred anymore? I just want peace and quiet sometimes. Is that too much to ask for?

A friend was over the other day and had been to a local hot tub place where it was apparently "family hour" there (unbeknownest to her). She said there were lot of unsupervised kids running around and she actually ended up having to babysit some of them because they couldn't find their parents. Sounded like hell to me. I mean some quiet, contemplative, hot tub place and a bunch of kids running around?!?!?
