I always have a ton of things going at once too.It gets me in trouble because I don't always know where I left off on the pattern. I generally take notes but loose the pad it's written on. Anyway, I still do it because I love a change of color when working on projects. I generally make afghans and they can take forever. Sometimes if I am depressed I have to pick a real bright color to get me out of a funk. LOL, I can't begin to remember all the wip's.

Calgon, make them go away!!!!!!

argh!!! i sat down just the other day and made a list of all my projects in the works. and there are 8. just finished one of them last night, a commissioned project, and got paid
another is a blanket for my good friend that's been sitting in the bag next to my 'work chair' that i have to pull out and finish now for sure, to bring her comfort in a tragic time. its a tragic thing to have to face, and you always think "it happens to other people, not us." any way the friend i'm making it for has suffered a great loss this week. Actually we all did, because the guy was not only a friend, but also a fellow co-worker here in the building. anyways, he was murdered by his son monday night. and he was god-father to my friends child, hence the reason she is so upset. they were very close. he was only 38 years old. its very sad, very sad indeed. the son is 20, and now he'll probably spend the rest of his life in jail, if they don't give him the chair. anyways, sorry didn't mean to get off on that, but its bothering me this morning. i knew him well, him, his sister, and I all went to school together, rode the same school bus. on top of that, Hurricane Ivan is baring down on us hard. i'm looking out my window here at work, the sun is shining, but the wind is really picking up, and there's lots of cloud cover in the south sky. we live 166 miles inland north of new orleans in mississippi. think about us when you say your prayers. the weather is supposed to get increasingly worse as the day progresses. there's not a vacant hotel room in town. some had to go all the way to Memphis.
when it rains, it pours...lol!

aw man! ya'll are so sweet!
well, if you watched the weather this morning, we've been spared for the most part. so far, here in Vicksburg, all we've gotten is a lot of wind, and dark clouds. no rain yet. the storm took a last minute turn to the east, and since we are right on the river, most westerly part of the state, we've gotten nothing. 35 miles east of here in Jackson, its raining cats and dogs, but the forecast is that should stop by mid day too.

The authorities released the body after the autopsy was complet yesterday, funeral services are for Saturday. we're all kinda ticked off because the judge set the kid's bond at only $50,000. his mom said when she went to see him at the jail tuesday, that he started sceaming at her, and saying it was all her fault. can you imagine?? they've always had trouble with this kid...drugs, gangs....the whole 9-yards. he and his dad have never gotten along.
ok, enough! lets be happy again.
ooooo....i see sunshine out my window:)

When asked what I'm up to, I always say "Up to no good- and if I wasn't, there's something seriously wrong!" LOL...no really project wise- the Grandmother's Flowers ghan, that scrappy baby ghan, and bath baskets for the care home for Christmas..(These are for the care home where my stepmother's been the past three years...)So, it's the same ol' same ol' here!
