I'd like to make some really old-fashioned (typically me!) nightdress cases in fine white cotton lawn. The ones I really like have beautiful picot edgings which are obviously machine made. It's a bit like handkerchief edging I guess. I don't know how to do them or what type of machine (tools) I need. Has anyone ideas on how this is done? I have an overlocker/serger, an embroidery machine (not all bells and whistles though), and an excellent sewing machine.
