Wildfern, you get the "throw 'em for a loop" award for the day!
I need to try something like that!

Took me a while to realise we weren't talking about the game with the card of numbers and balls, have never heard the word bingo being used in such a way, clearly hasn't reached Blighty yet. I get asked quite a lot why I don't have kids, I just respond with "have never felt the need", occasionally have been hit back with "maybe you'll change one day" to wit I reply "I bloody hope not I can't stand the little buggers" in my broad mancunian accent (think Coronation Street). That shuts 'em up good and proper. (Please note censors that in the UK, little buggers is a term of endearment)

Have seen the term used on childfree websites, but have never heard it used in 'real life'. Wonder what the 'bingo' part means?? Is it some kind of rhyming slang?

[color:"487878"] I wasn't really sure what it meant either, till I was referred to this site: Breeder Bingo Definition [/color]

I saw this yesterday and thought it was depressing (I hope the link works). But then, I thought this might be a good thing to show people when they say, "Oh, you'll change your mind once you have one." Boy, are they wrong!.
The link did work, wow, that's a rough one. I can believe I would feel exactly the same way. I hope she follows up, you hope everything works out okay. I can't believe how selfish the husband is. Its hard enough being removed from friends and family, but to put a baby in there. did he think it would give her something to keep her busy? Frightening!

One thing I've heard religious breeders say is that parenthood "Is a character building experience". What a load of garbage. I found this on the Houston Chronicle website today. This lady's a mother, but apparently, motherhood didn't do much for her character! http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/4140429.html

Wow, great articles. With regards to the article reference the 26 year old woman, I'm not at all surprised. I commend her for telling the truth, divulging her real feelings and asking for help. As far as the post-partum depression/post birth hormone imbalance is concerned, of course your hormones are off after birth. And while it may be true that some women require medication to get their imbalances under control, it shouldn't last for months and years on end. That's a load of [censored]. These women are just not made to be parents and it is way more then they can handle. They are absolutely and whole-heartedly miserable. I wish the media would show the real side of being saddled with children more often. I have noticed in the past couple of years in particular, the massive increase in commercials and shows revolving around the 'wonderfulness' of having kids. TLC is one of my favorite channels to watch, but just this afternoon while having some lunch between jobs watching some tube, my most FAVORITE show in the world (What Not To Wear), is having a new show: "What Not To Wear: Baby On Board!" I freaked out!!! Is there nothing that doesn't get invaded by kids? I'm in awe of how much media/TV almost trys to brainwash you into getting knocked up. I'm so disappointed in The Learning Channel. They just couldn't stand to leave a good thing alone. To make things worse, they have another new show that turns moms into 'models'-GAG! Fire
