A friend of mine called up recently to talk about us all having dinner together. She made a comment about them cooking for us and what to make; she asked if we were done with that Low Carb thing yet. I said no, we like to eat this way, we really don't see a reason to deliberately eat extra sugar. She got sort of snippy with me and said it was insane that I was still on a diet, that I should just eat normal again.

I was very patient and calm, but it occurred to me - no wonder people get heavy in our world! Is eating healthy just a "temporary" thing you do to lose weight, and then you go back to eating unhealthily because it's normal?

I wouldn't say that they harress me but sometimes it can be hard for them to stomach on the way/method that I'm eating but other than that , I don't really get flak from them.

That's good to hear. Maybe things have gotten mainstream enough now that people realize this is about "avoiding sugar" which is a normal desire <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
