I'm having total knee replacement surgery in the middle of September. My doctor told me that usually his patients wear these compression stockings for a few weeks after surgery, on both legs. But, as far as he knows, they don't come large enough to fit me. I weigh 300 pounds. These are similar to regular thiegh-high stockings, but much firmer. They decrease the chance of blood clots forming by increasing circulation. This is really important because bloot clots can be a serious complication from this surgery.
So, does anyone know where I can special order these? I'd appreciate any help with this. I've searched the internet and can't find anything.
