My Ludisia discolor was hydroponically grown so I'm not sure if I can repot it from the clay pellets to a mixture of soil & peat moss. Right now I'm going to leave it in the clay pellets but I would like to know if it would be ok when the time comes to repot into a soil mixture.

My rule of thumb is if it's working well, then keep doing the same thing. My best suggestion would be to break off a piece of the plant and put it in a light soil mixture, that way you will have two plants. Ludisa discolor is one of the few orchids that can be propagated just by sticking a piece in the ground.

I agree if it's working well keep doing the same thing. The plant is doing just fine so I think I'll leave it alone.

The other day when I was watering the plant a pellet rolled and underneath was a tiny leaf growing. I'm not sure if I should remove the new shoot coming out of the pellets or just leave it alone until it there's not enough room in the pot for the two of them.
