I just want to say hello to everyone! I'm the new Crochet Editor in training for BellaOnline. This past week I've been checking and adding links to the crochet site, have written and posted several new articles, mailed my first newsletter, and have been progressing through the online training course for editors. In my spare time, I've been working on two afghans. Thank goodness for air conditioning!

I'm anxious to hear from you and hope you'll continue to share information about what projects you're working on, new crochet resources, and helpful tips.

Which of the following topics would you like more information on?

Thank you all so much for the welcome messages! It's nice to be in the company of other crocheters, especially ones as nice as all of you.

Yes Mother Hen, there is quite a bit of "Polish" in me as well as a little German ancestry and genealogy is one of my other hobbies, in addition to crochet.

Anything special you'd all like to see here in the forum? I'm relying on all of you to provide some suggestions for making the forum a helpful, informative, and fun place to spend some time.

Well we all love free patterns, Judy! In the past we have had great fun when someone shared a free pattern they had found. Then some of us would make them in our own style.. sometimes adding different touches or color and then took pictures and displayed our creations on the forum.

I'm new to bellaonline and have been a crocheter for years. I belong to a group of women at church (Prayer Shawl Knitters) that supply prayer shawls for people with need. The group is made up mostly of knitters but I crochet better than I knit, so I crochet mine! I take my bag with me everywhere and can't believe the number of people that come over to me and start talking about their knitting or chrochet work.
Judy - Congratulations on the job! People that work with yarn are the best!
