Someone had posted some quotes from Angelina Jolie on a board here, or maybe it was in one of the articles, about how being a mother "makes you a woman" or some such drivel. Now for her better half's side...

Brad Pitt, in an interview with Ann Curry on NBC's Today: "You know, you can write a book, you can make a movie, you can draw, paint a painting, but having kids is really the most extraordinary thing I've ever taken on. And, man, if I can get a burp out of that [baby], that little thing, I'll feel such a sense of accomplishment."

Getting a baby to burp is a major accomplishment, on par with writing a book, making a movie, etc...?!

[color:"magenta"] I second that, freespirit.

I don't give a royal rats *ss what Angie or what Brat says. I think they are both ugly, stupid people. (I've said this before, I'll say it again, having a baby is NOT an acomplishment, any crackwhore can produce a baby)

If motherhood doesn't interest you, don't do it. It didn't interest me, so I didn't do it. Anyway, I would have made a terrible parent. The first time my child didn't do what I wanted, I'd kill him."

[color:"magenta"] It also seems like they are just trying to validate their stupidity, or the fact that maybe now the realize that they have ruined their life.

What REALLY sucks is that I used to think that Angelina Jolie was so hot. She used to be so yummy. Now she's...ew, and these comments make her more and more ew. I can't be attracted to a woman with kids.

Well, I think they are both drop dead gorgeous and I admire their humanitarian work and enjoy their movies BUT I got so sick of the blitzkreig of photographs of her with her big ol' pregnant belly and now it's just one goofy quote after another about the joys of parenthood. *SNORE* We've heard the same stock phrases from every other new celebrity parent and it's just all so boring....they're parents just like any other and it's just as mundane when they talk about it as when my neighbor the accountant waxes nostalgic about the first time his son used his big boy potty.

I liked Angelina better when she was wearing a vial of blood around her neck and French kissing her brother....at least she stood out from the crowd.

Morby, my husband said the same thing. I told him jokingly one time a few years back (before Angelina adopted the first kid) that I'd have a threesome if he could arrange it with Angelina Jolie. He closed his eyes and told me he was envisioning it....then a few months ago we were watching TV - VH1's 100 Hottest Women or something - and she came on the screen. My husband said, "you know, she's still just as beautiful but the fact that she's a mom just knocks her sexy quotient way down. Moms are not sexy."

Now, if she knocks on the door and asks for a threesome we'll see if he still feels that way...

Morby and Sofie,
I wish I could have Sofie's husband and Morby go on tour to tell women the truth. Not every man wants children or a woman with children. One of my high school classmates swears that EVERY MAN wants children-she usually says stuff like this since she knows I don't want children and claims I will have a hard time keeping a husband.
As far as Brangelina....who cares what they think. When that child learns to read and reason, the questionable time line of Brad's divorce and the child's conception is bound to create an interesting debate in their household.
