Hi Everybody!

So, what's everone working on these days?
I've been doing things like the barefoot sandals & the Jessica Simpson look-a-like headbands.
I just can't bring myself to make anything big right now like afghans and such.
I had a bid on a pattern book on ebay that had retro cover-ups, bathings suits, shawls & other summer stuff but got out bid at the last moment.
Oh well, back to creating!

oh boy...just call me 'buried-in-w.i.p.s'..

I'm about 1/2 finished with the 'bands of color' afghan for someone at work. i bought a lionbrand leaflet at walmart called 'scrap afghans', and this one was on the back cover. it's promising to be very pretty. i went off the written color scheme a bit, but i guess that's the point with scrap afghans...use what you've got.

there's my 'passion afghan'. story goes, i bought this beeutiful teal yarn at Big Lots while i was on one of my working trips. the color is sooo delicious, and i did't know what to make with it. Then i saw "the movie", and on the way home from the theater in my head i designed an afghan. its a huge square in the teal (dc in front loop/back loop back and forth) with a cross mesh in the middle. in the mesh i weaved black chains through. now i'm putting on the teal and black boarder, but i've run out of teal so i have to order more.

there's also the buffalo check for SIL...the list goes on and on....

Bunny Slippers The pattern just looked too cute not to try. I'll probably never wear them but they make me smile all the same.

Plus a blue short poncho that I'm not happy with and I can't seem to get the pattern just right. And another black poncho that I love but I ran out of yarn, and I'm having a hard time finding more

Yes Quilting is my first love, I usually have several projects going at a time. I like to crochet because it's portable, but quilting lets me be creative.

Good luck with the class, I hope you find it enjoyable. One word of caution, the fabric addiction is just as bad as the yarn addiction!

I am working on a vintage centerpiece for the county and state fair.

This is my first time entering a fair and I don't expect to win, but I just think it will be fun. I didn't learn about fair contests until last month, I'm doing this by the seat of my pants. But I'll be ready for next year...
