I've been lurking for quite awhile on this messageboard and decided I just had to join in the fun. I recently started crocheting again last fall with the big scarf/poncho/shawl craze.

Just a quick question....does anyone else have a hard time crocheting with furry/eyelash yarn?

I love the look of it, especially the Bernat Boa yarn....but I always miss my stitches and I just end with a big lop-sided mess! Anyone have any helpful hints?

Try using another yarn with it, it makes it much easier.

Oh , YES ! Just My experience !!!
And what makes it worse is that you don't notice it till your in another row.
Now this is in Knitting.
In crocheting I have to hold it up to the light, cause there are 2 strands to get on the hook.
But the end items>> are to get complements for!!!
AND, once you make many rows or several items the yarn begins to work with you !!!
The needle size also has to mesh.
I tried using larger size needles in both Crocheting/Knitting and I like the mid size numbers.

Ah yes, those wacky yarns! They are frustrating at first but it does get easier with practice.
