[color:"blue"] I don't care for people mooching off us taxpayers. IT'S CALLED GET A JOB YOU LAZY @#$#!
But, to each our own.

If motherhood doesn't interest you, don't do it. It didn't interest me, so I didn't do it. Anyway, I would have made a terrible parent. The first time my child didn't do what I wanted, I'd kill him."

[color:"blue"] Not only that, they'll find any excuse not to work. What a drain on society.

Very sadly, there are a number of factors contributing to this situation -- it is extremely expensive to raise kids in this day and age. Many of the poorest in our society have children out of wedlock and raise them in a single-parent household -- I have heard of single parents working two or even three jobs and still unable to make ends meet. Two-parent homes are often not much better off because we have such a low minimum wage and high cost of living.

My solution is education -- people should be more educated about birth control and why having kids later in life is beneficial. Abstinence-only education in schools doesn't work and is contributing to the swelling numbers of children on welfare.

Sadly, there really are a lot of people out there who just can't put two and two together to realize that you can prosper if you'd just use birth control...!

Its all good to educate like you say but I think these women know exactley what they are doing when they get pregnant. It does not take much brain to have a bit of common sense...

The thing is that some of these women grew up poor themselves and then they go out and bring kids into the same situation!

Alot of these moos have no intention on working for a living and will mooch and leech off any service they can - sad but true.

Didn't they pass a law within the last yr. that welfare only covers the amount of kids a woman has when she applies? Any after that won't be provided for. I don't know if it was a federal law or just in MI. It's not the greatest but it's an improvement. What makes me mad is that, through my property taxes, I pay for the brats to go to school too. If I had wanted to pay for kids to go to school I would have had my own. Why aren't parents responsible for all expenses concurred?? Noone gives me a break on anything but I'm expected to support as many brats as they want to pop out. They're taking money from my retirement fund & I have no choice.

[color:"purple"]Exactly. I have a sil who is on assistance and she does nothing but whine, [censored], moan and complain. Get a life. They don't need to regulate welfare, they just need to cut it in half and throw out wasteful spending and tell those lazy welfare moos to get a job.

[color:"blue"] I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who feels that way.
