LOLOL! I remember my first ripple. and the lady who showed me how never mentioned the decrease at the end of each row. so i was about 20 rows into it and held it up to admire my work. EGAD! it looked like a flat tulip! it got bigger and bigger and bigger. it was hilarious. after that, i started counting at the end of each row, realizing that i was adding one stitch at the last peak, that had to be dropped at the end. after figuring this out on my own (didnt have internet at the time), had no trouble after that. i just had to share, 'cause i laughed out loud when i read this, remembering how pitifull my first ripple looked before i realized what i was doing wrong. now, a ripple afghan is one of my favorites. and there are MANY different variations of it.
