But there are no wrong answers
You're right Alexa, this kind of topic can never have a final answer either.
Elle, wow, you really didn't like Sin City! For me it was the opposite. Watching it was exactly like reading a comic. Basin City became a real place, with a real nasty feel, yet still so stylish. The voiceover's were great (mainly thanks to Frank Miller's awesome writing) and Marv's sequnce was one of the most exciting setpieces I have seen for a long time. The uncut and extended USA DVD release is the way to go for all you Sin City fans here, ti's really good.
Jackie Brown, coming straight afterwards, disappointed me enormously
Agreed, nowhere near as good as Pulp Fiction or Dogs. Kill Bill has grown on me with a few re-watches though.
If this thread was about the most over rated movies ever, then Lock, Stock would be in my list. It's still just an average movie to me.
Magnolia - that makes my list of worst ever movies
This is...unforgivable! The sequence when they all sing 'Wise Up' and we see all the different characters is without a doubt one of the most emotional, impressive and beautifully handled scenes in modern cinema. Cracking acting all round too.
Apart from this, I actually agree with most things you say about the movies, I jsut wouldn't called them 'the worst' Maybe I have just seen more bad movies! Not sure what that says about my viewing habits. <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
