Hey, Xantres, I don't think you're SUPPOSED to have a purpose. I mean, some people (like myself) like having purposes as a way of knowing where our lives are headed to... But other people don't have purposes and they're perfectly happy that way.

So, I think... If having a purpose makes you happy, then do it. If it doesn't, live life your own way!

I do believe that what we do has an impact on everybody else... That's why I believe in purposes in life. Somehow planning what you want your impact to be. But that's my choice, of course. I believe that everybody should live their lives in the way that suits them best!

Hello everyone!
I've been a lurker for some time but thought I'd say hi today.

I am 27 and living with my boyfriend of 2 1/2 years who is 4.5 year my junior. He dosn't want kids and I don't really think I do either. I enjoy reading your posts, it really helps me in my decision making. Skimreading the kiddy section helps me decide too LOL, that I don't need the stress!

Hmmm, as for a purpose, I think that we are here to enjoy life and be the best we can be. In addition to that, I think whatever moves us the most, as in upsets or angers or challenges us, is maybe where we are meant to be contributing. Food for thought anyway.

[color:"red"] Welcome annika.
Going to any childed blog and lurking helps curb my desire too. Too much work! I can relate to what you said. [/color]

If motherhood doesn't interest you, don't do it. It didn't interest me, so I didn't do it. Anyway, I would have made a terrible parent. The first time my child didn't do what I wanted, I'd kill him."

To be cheesy and quote a video game song.

"We were put here on this earth, put here to feel joy."

I'm here to be happy. I'm here to love and give love in return, to care for the one's I hold dearest to me and to follow my heart. What more purpose do I need?

I'm so glad to hear other level headed people say that their not sure what their purpose is all the time, except to be happy. We don't feel the same everyday, if you grew up to be a self-sufficient adult (you have a job, not mooching off of your parents) then you are a responsible adult and should be happy and go from there, everyday is a new opportunity to find happiness.

I feel my purpose in life is to make others happy as so many people say I have a happy face. Not saying this to sound vain. Love music and dancing. Any other linedancers out there? Help others out when needed. At the moment we have water restrictions so all the elderly ladies in our street I am out there watering their gardens with the watering can. Enjoying doing it and actually getting to know my neighbours more.

Smile and be Happy.
