Yippee!!!!!! Looking forward to learning a new (to me) technique.

Any quick advice on some of the supplies I might need. I'm in the process of starting to pack to move in 2 months & I'd hate to pack up or get rid of something useful.

You will need:

1 pair of good scissors (not small ones fabric ones)

a ruler (12 inches or longer)

Size P or Q crochet hook

Cotton Fabric (dollar fabric will work just fine or whatever you might have laying around)

Also I wanted to give a heads up to anyone that has allergies, asthma, or any upper respiratory problems, PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE YOU TRY THIS. Fabric will sort of "shed" small particles into the air and I would not want anyone to get ill.

Thanks for the heads up Eva. I'm moving from the 'big city' to a small mountain city/town in a ocuple of months. Rag rugs will be great on the floors. Of course, since it is cold up there, I'm making lots of scrap afghans & a scrap shawl or two.

I'm sorry I don't. It all ends up being one long strip. If you tell me what you are having trouble with I can try and show you with symbols.

Hi everyone,
I found a place that has several suggestions for joining fabric strips.

http://www.netw.com/~rafter4/joinstrips.htm

Hope that helps
