First opinions on JBL's color commentary?

I alternated between laughing out loud at how ludicrous some of his comments were, and finding him really annoying and distracting from the actual wrestling.

So is this a permanent gig for him now, or is he just doing it while his injuries are healing?

Just annoying to the extreme for me... I mean even the kids were wanting him to shut up...

Got sick of the camera crossing to him all the time as if he is anything more than a commentator at the moment.

I think he's better than Booker though, so I guess it may be a glass half-full, or half-empty thing. There could be so much better, but there could be worse.

Considering I don't miss him at all in the ring, I quite like that's he's off to the side for a short time!

well in the new smackdown magazine it reveals that JBL will probably be making a return to the ring in 2007

He's awful as commentator.

He oversteps the line nearly every episode.

When talking about Funaki, he referred to him as Chinese and when corrected by Michael Cole, he said something like "They're all Asians, they're all the same".

And after Sylvan Grenier's speech on Quebec: "I'd rather go to Rwanda"

That's just two I can think of from the top of my head. I'm sure there's more.

Yeah I honestly believe he is a bigot and doesn't just play one on TV...

JBL should be spending his time improving his strength & conditioning and getting rid of that rolly polly fat gut he carries around with him.
