I've heard Punk's not going anywhere because he has way too much heat in the office. Not only that but Steph called him king of the indies which in itself is his burial right there.

On the other hand, there's all kinds of stories they could derive from the ECW stars, they just don't want to. That's why they have Kurt Angle in there, Big show & soon Test. Vince just wants an extension of Raw & Smackdown w/ the ECW name to doup the ECW fans who were so ravid & loyal that they'll tune into the [censored] forced out by wwe in hopes of their product of old.

If you're all new to the product, I would suggest buying some old tapes of some of the wrestlers. Some of them have stories like this one tape I have of Raven that had a lot of promo's based off of his Tommy Dreamer fued as well as some of his Sandman fued. You can also buy some amazing ppv matches as well.

As far as the sleeper hold ordeal, I haven't been watching so I can't quite fight this one too hard, but honestly, we need to slowly but surely be reconditioned to go further back to the old school. People shouldn't chant boring at wrestling holds. Now if you don't like them, fine, that's your opinion & it's yours to hold, but without them, so many stories in so many matches are lost. Do you think Stone Cold would've gotten as huge as he was if Bret Hart hadn't put him in the Sharpshooter while they closed in on Austin's bloodied face as he fought for the rope.

I'm saying everyone needs to tone it ALL down. Just slightly. They don't have to stop doing shooting star presses & stay on headlocks, instead they should slowly do less & only do more when it is necessary to add to an amazing match.

Believe me, I love my fast paced action, but I also don't want to see guys end up killing themselves.

& hello Pam, if you're tired of the current product you watch, you should definitely look into indy products. Just a suggestion as I know how you feel & know what you're going through being frustrated w/ wwe. Indies saved me!

i dont mind the sleeper holds as long as its not the whole match but i agree with you they should slowly condition people back in to the old school ways!!!

DPU is pretty much on the money. You cannot have hr long marathons the likes of Steamboat vs Flair or Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart if the wrestlers are going flat out.

That said, there are some wrestlers I don't expect to go an hour. If AJ Styles changed his style (no pun intended) I wouldn't buy that either.

Recently I watched a Barry Horrowitz Shoot interview. He said that all werstlers have their own style. He just prefers Technical Style (Like himself & the Malenko's). He did say however that overly paced matches (such as Luchalibra) are so fast that they pften look overly rehearsed and just not believable. That said, I personally think some stars, of Lucha back ground have really grown, esp those with Japanese experience.

I won't boo a "Wrestling Match", but I do let the wrestlers know if they've mistimed something. And I really really hate it when a match looks like a rehearsed Ballet. Which alot of the early TNA stuff did.

By the way. Welcome to the Newbies

The thing about AJ is he's slowly but surely working better. & I think TNA wants to keep him as that amazing high flyer type because...well, he's great at it & they know he can make them money. Obviously if Sabu were to tone down, well, why would you watch him? But yes, Samoa Joe/Punk hour matches are AMAZING! So was Punk's w/ Chris Daniels.

It's all about picking your times & knowing when to do what. If you send anyone to Japan, they'll end up a better worker because of it. I can't wait to see Jack Evans when he gets back. AMAZING! But going back, I'm not saying everyone needs to slow down, but not everyone needs to go to attempt the Lucha stuff. As I read recently, Lucha Libre is a great thing to watch, until it's done bad then ther'es nothing worse. It looks like a rehearsed show & they're stuck staring like a deer in headlights because they don't know what to do next.

SAT's were a prime candidate of that. They did some pretty KoOl moves but a good 80% of their matches had so many mistakes and weren't very fluid. But to counteract you Tikus, certain rehearsed looking spots don't end up looking rehearsed & are Amazing w/ popping people. Example, a certain beginning to a Low-Ki vs. Amazing Red match.

It's funny how we got where we were only because ECW's first show was horrible. Not to mention, the ratings are going down, so hopefully vinny will WAKE UP!

Actually no, I agree 100% with you. All I'm saying is Wrestling no matter the style SHOULD look stiff. It should look like it's real. Otherwise why the hell would you watch it. It'd be like watching Indonesian TV. Ugghh.

Don't you hate it when you watch sports that put on an exhibition match, and then the combatants pull their kicks and punches? I do. And I don't like to see it in wrestling either. As you stated above though, you don't need to be REALLY beating the Sh*t out of someone for it to look real. So long as it doesn't look like a High School Cheer Leader practice season.

I'm quite new here as well...welcome to the board.
I'm a big wrestling fan too and all i can say ist that WWE or MR. Vince McMahon did a good decision on making ECW an extension for people's entertainment.

I know you were agreeing with me, I just wanted to add that bit in! haha. But that's good Jadlyn gets something good out of the brand extention because right now I'm not. I haven't seen the last 2 weeks & I've heard they're better, but after being so disappointed, I dunno. I need to recondition myself. Who knows. Hopefully next week I'll check it out.

Week 1 was a Hoover. Skipped week 2. Heard Heyman had some more control and watched week 3. Got sports-entertainment and everyone in ECWWE talking about how great the WWE belts are. Why aren't they saying the WWE belt is a toy and they would consider defending it if it was worth defending, but they're thinking of melting it down into a gold tooth???

Viva la indies. I'm glad I work with indy promotions. Most indy guys I know despise the WWE product, and try to make their shows different. There's nothing worse than an indie fed that wants to be WWE-lite and make all their shows just like what they see on TV each week. It doesn't work. Granted, I make a ton of cash at those kinds of shows, but I've given up on promoting indie feds I can't persaonlly get behind. If you make your indie show WWE-lite, fans will take notice of what they are missing and get bored, because they can see it already on TV with a bigger budget. People attend indies to see something OTHER than WWE, so take this as a hint, to the indie shows that can't be creative enough to come up with your own product.
