I have an orchid room that is about 6 x 15 feet. It is enclosed and has one non-opening window on the 6 foot wall. The tempreatures in there get up to 100 degrees at times.

Does anyone know of a cooling unit that would cool this room during the hot part of the day.

I'd prefer it to have a timer, a thermostat and not need to be filled with water each day.

It probably depends upon the room itself. If it's an attached greenhouse room, check out the misting system information. One of the most common, available at hardware stores, is run on a timer through a water hose. Misting can lower temperatures around 10 degrees. If it is more like an interior room, how about a small window air conditioner? Just be careful how the cool air blows on the plants.

Can you tell me about the core rot solution that was posted in a recent bulletine from you? I have this in a large Phalenopsis and only remember something about rubbing alcohol and fizzing. Can you please tell me the process again. I seem to have deleted the bulletin before I printed it.
