Hi, I'm a complete newbie to all this and I'm very interested in finding a way to color my stange hair! It's grey on top at the crown and front hairline to my ears but reddish-brown below my ears around to the nape of my neck...strange...I'm wearing my hair longer now and the first time I wore it up, friends were shocked at how dark the bottom of my head was (the top grey had hidden it)! Anyone else have this type of stange hair coloration?

I have seen many, many women with the same thing. Most people start to gray in the front and it moves toward the back slowly. Some people never go completely gray at the nape area.

I think it is because there is better blood circulation (mourishment for the hair follicles) toward the back because of the arteries. I have noticed in my years as a hairdresser that most people have weaker hair around the face. This goes with the idea of less nourishment toward the front.
