I think that unless you have family history that indicates there may be a problem, there isn�t a real need. I had my first son when I was 32, and my last when I was 37. I didn�t have any tests other than to check my health. I know it�s scary but you have to keep a positive spin on things. Because I am now 46 with three young boys, I try to watch my diet and exercise. 1. So they can�t outrun me! And 2. So I do my part to insure that I stay healthy for them.
If you do your part to be healthy in your pregnancy, you just need faith for the rest. But you should also talk to your doctor before you become pregnant and consider that advice.
