I haven't gotten bored - just ready to get a project over with if it is one that someone else requested; in other words a project that wasn't my own idea. I had one of those for a Christmas gift last year, and it was such a hit with the family it went to that they want another one for a wedding gift...

I have a new kitten who has been with us for two weeks now, and I haven't crocheted a stitch since Sonny arrived - I'm afraid those balls of yarn would be too great a temptation for him!

I don't start a new project until I complete one, no matter how tired I get of a project. I find it too distracting to have more than one going at a time. I don't even like to have more than one project involving different hobbies going at the same time! Makes it too hard to choose what I want to work on!

i dis agree about your kitten he will be easier to teach him to stay out of your yarn now if you crochet with your yarn in a container that you can put double side stick tape he will stay out of is you can use the tape on anything you dont what him on like counter table and you can use duck tape too it stick too there feet and they dont like it so they wont do it again. it is also a way to keep them from geting in to thing when your not looking too and its fun to watch.

I'm with Eva - I usually have something I am knitting and something I am croicheting ... this way when i get bored/frustrated/distracted/whatever with one project I can pop over to the other!

With crochet in general, Never! I do get bored if I have to make too many of one thing over and over. I have another grandchild due in early September (the fourth grandchild since December 1st)and all the new moms want one of my special baby afghans with cross stitched designs on them. So, I am getting a little bored with baby afghans, even though I make up a different theme for each afghan. I do not like to make anything with a lot of motifs, either...tablecloths made with motifs, aargh... <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> . And I'll have to make my giant Christmas stocking for each of the three born this year! Well, at least they work up quick.

OMG thanks for the tip! My cat is driving me crazy jumping on the kitchen counters! She doesn't bother my yarn tho...I think she's learned.

And I haven't found myself getting bored yet....but I do have 2 projects going at once usually so if I get tired of doing the same stitch pattern over and over I can switch...right now I'm about 3 rounds away from finishing my baby afghan. I"m so excited I can't wait to finish! It's my first baby item.

We use a squirt bottle full of water to keep Sonny out of where he shouldn't be. He has done very well with the crochet, but was very confused for awhile as to why he couldn't get in my lap when I had that yarn stuff all over!
