Now for my mini-rant...

I thought that Paul London got the number one contender's position for the cruiser title a little while ago, in a match where he pinned Brian Kendrick? <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> I remember because people were hoping that he would be facing Helms at WM, so the cruiserweights could strut their stuff on the biggest stage of all, but then Gregory went and broke his nose on the tour of Australia and couldn't wrestle. So London just doesn't get the title shot? And we're all meant to forget that? I know they seem to be pushing the team of London and Spanky, but they could have done something , it was a good while before they started going up against MNM.

AND...I think just when I first started watching WWE (I am new, remember!!) there was a note left in Booker's locker when he was teaming with Goldust - "I know what you did" or something. Was that ever resolved?

Any other things that were just dropped, forgotten about, for better or worse?

William Regal suddenly stopped playing dress up, even though the condition was he had to do it until Burchill lost a match...

Well Burchill lost last night to Mark Henry but I know what you are saying.

Told you, the WWE thinks its fans are inbred morons.

Cat, they dropped that Booker/Goldust storyline. Hell, we still don't even know what was behind G-TV but that was something probably no one remembers but me.

Every week I say..."Wait how come WWE isn't addressing..." something that they started then just let go. Or "But what happened to the storyline with..." when they go in a totally different direction.

Like why did they rehire JR anyway after they beat his [censored] and sent him packing? And why isn't he mad about what they did? And why would Linda sit and watch Vince make out with Candice since they are such a united family?

What about the whole RVD/Carlito thing? Remember Carlito was responsible for RVD's injury and RVD was going to get him back? They are tagging together now. WHAT? ANd remember Carlito supposedly stabbed Cena at a bar? What ever happened with that? Ya know, when he was fighting for his kidney as they said.

The reason storylines are just dropped or changed is because the writers don't get the idea of episodic TV and they change so most writers in WWE don't know the history of the characters. So like Kane, whose character has been so badly butchered, they don't know his past. We do, the writers don't! No one looks at this stuff for continuity.

In WCW, they had a "Who drove the Hummer" angle and it turned from white to black to white again (or vice a versa) and they never did wrap that up that I recall. It was a major storyline too and they sort of dropped the ball and gave some lame excuse.

The whole Paul London #1 contender thing ticks me off. What IS going on? What about Kid Kash and Helms? They had a thing going with Kash then Helms won the belt by jumping and then uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh nothing.

I hate that. There are millions of unfinished storylines and angles. Makes me ccrraazzyyy.

I remeber the GTV thing. lol. I had forgotten about that. They had Booker or Big Show in the bathroom making some terrible noises and stinking people out that we could see on the camera in one vignette and had the Gtv icon on the lower part of the tv screen.

Thats right. We never did find out who was behind that and I thought the Hummer thing got wrapped up. I thought Luger was driving it, wasn't he?

Also the Undertaker stalker thing kind of fizzled out. I mean we did find out that it was DDP but that feud was shorter than the stalker vignettes.

Yes unfinished storylines are very aggravating

This has been going on for years.

Even in WWF days they'd bring someone in "from parts unknown" or whatever. And you sit up in your chair and say "Wait a damm minute, I know who that is, thats ..........from AWA" or wahtever.

Even the "Winner" Barry Horowitz angle annoyed me.
He'd never won a match right? Wrong!! Even as a pre lim he'd won a few bouts. (PWI readers will remember Ring Report).

So, when it comes to dropping complete stories and character bios. Nothings new

Kane managed to go from Isaac Yankem, DDS to the Fake Diesel to Kane and people accepted that. But they gave him breaks in between so we would "forget" who he was.

Godfather was Papa Shango - He was this crazy voo doo guy then changed into a pimp. Yikes.

And we just accept it but what can you do?

Maybe the Hummer thing was wrapped up but I don't remember what the heck happened. It was built up for ages and now that I think about it, I think it was Eric....

Oh well, doesn't matter now.

What about Trish leaving Jericho for Christian and then Christian out for an injury so she sort of stuck with Tomko who was the "problem solver". Then Christian came back and he hooked back up with Tomko and they never spoke again about Trish and Christian. What was THAT all about?

Oh and let us not forget Batista was Deacon Bautista before he was cool. Haha collecting money for uh uh uh DEVON DUDLEY.

What rubbish.

lol. Speaking of uh uh uh Devon, I remember Bubba lost his stutter when he came to WWE.

Also, in WCW, when the giant was brought in as Andre's son and one time he and Hogan battled on the roof of the arena and the Giant was knocked off and supposedly all the way down to the parking lot and they eneded that there. The Giant was wrestling a few days later and nothing was mentioned about his fall. They didn't even show him lyiing in the parking lot or anything.

Also, way back in the early to mid eighties, Dusty Rhodes won the services of Baby Doll from Tully Blanchard. She became Dusty's "personal". The the storyline went that she had an envelope of something incriminating against Dusty and threatened to expose it if he didn't release her back to Tully and I don't think they finished that storyline either.

They get us so wrapped up in the storylines and then don't complete them and it gets very frustrating, but, like Patty said, what are we going to do? Nothing. Just keep watching and hope they get their act together.
