Just read on another forum there was an article posted about a fight between Batista and Booker T, sounds staged so looks like a fued coming up there. As long as Booker sticks to the wrestling and doesn't go down the road of injuries and such this could be worth looking forward to..

Sounds like a promising feud, though with kurt angle out i was expecting batista to go straight back into the title picture.

Booker and Batista?

I don't see that happening in real life. I will look into it but sounds like a work.

Yeah, it was on wwe.com so I guess it's a work.

Maybe they're planning for Book to win KOTR and then start bragging about how, as 'The King', he should be next in line for a title shot, but Batista comes back and says that he never lost the belt so he should get first dibs? Ta-da, insta-feud!

No, I checked it out. Booker didn't wipe the sweat off of the lat machine like a courteus lifter, so Batista cleaned his clock. That's what I heard anyway.

No, that isn't what happened according to Booker and WWE. Of course, who the heck knows what is and isn't real? I wrote a column about it and gave the info as I know it on the BellaOnline website (You all have newsletters coming to you to tell you when I post something, RIGHT?) but will have the real details as soon as possible. I am making some calls a little later today.

Whatever it was, WWE is sure using it to their advantage. Whatever happened to fining and warning wrestlers who fight? They CLAIM this fight lasted five minutes and was bloody and brutal. They needed to be pulled apart, Yet Batista only has a few scratches (and they could be fake like both Triple H and Cena's after Backlash. Neither was injured at all but made up to look like they went through World War 3).

Whatever happened, for WWE to text message the fans telling them smacks of a work or at least blowing up of the facts to make a schwork. Now they are conducting interviews with the guys. I would think they would want that stuff quiet not plastered all over. Unless they want a storyline and this works.

Maybe Batista and Booker got into a little scuffle but I am VERY hard pressed to believe they were in a brutal, violent five minute fight and only walked away with a couple scratches.

Anyone who watches UFC knows that 5 minutes is an eternity when you're fighting and Booker and Batista apparently were very angry at each other so that makes it even more dangerous.

I don't buy it. I think SOMETHING may have happened but not what WWE says....

If the fight isn't a shoot, it has to be something other than Batista 'disrespecting' people. Of everyone in the locker-room, I think Batista is one of the least likely to go around with a big head, disrespecting everyone. He was taken under his wing by H and Flair, and I think he was mature enough to actually learn from them about the business - unlike others.

I agree with Cat about Batista. I just don't see him disrespecting people. But then again I don't know much about him behind the scenes. But I think it was a work. If there was a shoot involved, they might have gotten into an argument over something, but with WWE selling it to the public like they are, it say's work all over it.

According to Pwinsider.com, this was a shoot (although how MUCH was, we do not know) and that Batista had a big head when he won the belt and was going around saying he was carrying the promotion and that he was the only one who drew money.

I know Batista. Not well. We're not buddies but I have spoken to him many times. I NEVER got that vibe. He was humble and he was appreciative of people. He knew he was floundering as Deacon Bautista until he was schooled by H and Ric and I truly believe, if he did have an attitude, it wasn't like they say. He did an interview on wwe.com where he denies what Booker says.

It all sounds ridiculous and should be kept in the back not for us to try to figure out. Wrestling is "fake" remember? Why plaster what two men think about each other in real life unless it was leading to something on TV?

Otherwise, WWE is being completely irresonsible and not taking proper action against two of their top workers (and Booker is a long time veteran) getting into a physical fight.

Something's just not right about any of this.

It does sound strange Patty that doesn't sound like Batista, I saw an interview and have read a couple of interviews of his on the web and he as you say Patty came across as actually being a humble and down to earth kinda guy.
We'll all know soon enough anyway, now looking forward to seeing Batista back even more.
