I love the swirling pineapple effect in the green dress. Has any one seen this on something else? I have made pineapples before, but I don't know how to connect them. I would like to try this with something smaller.

Hello I know how to work them, but is really hard to explain because have so many sts you have to start the foundation of each pineappe before you close the first one and while your piece is going bigger is asking for more and more.. it is called cascade. Look for vintage patterns on the net and may be you are lucky..

I'll sew until my fingers bleed.
I love it.

See that doily, you still can add more pineapples and do not finish the doily like that so you will have a cascade.

Yes, they're stuff is very cheap. You can buy a lined bikini for $5, or a whole outfit skirt, top, and jacket for $30. But that's not fun. I like seeing new patterns and coming up with new ideas.
Thank you for the site. Cascading pineapples look nice. But I think it will take a while to get the hang of it. I bet a shawl would look great.
