I'm a newbie here with a question.

I keep seeing pretty designs for tablecloths and bedspreads that I am interested in making. I have never tried to make something so big before...how much crocheting experience should I have before attempting such a thing?

Projects like that take a LOT of thread. I want to make sure I buy the right stuff. I saw cones of thread at the herrschners web site. Is thread that comes on big cones good quality or should I buy a billion of those little balls of Aunt Lydia's?

Sorry if this is too long I get excited about crochet stuff Thanks for reading this!

Welcome, glad to have you here The cone thread, size 10 is just fine. Before you attempt a huge project take a look at the instructions, read all the way thru and then decide. If you look at it all the way thru then you won't come upon a surprise stitch that you don't know or ??? I am always here to help so once you get started feel free to ask for help if you need it

Hello! Always patterns come with suggestion of skill required to make that project.

See how much thread the pattern need and make your number before buy the thread...

If you want to make something bigger it doesn't have to be for advanced just will take you time.

Well I love thread, that is what I like to crochet with, I also design if you would like to try doilies, I have patterns in my page... see ya!!

The pattern called "sweet daisy" under free patterns is very easy..

I'll sew until my fingers bleed.
I love it.
