Instructions say "Chain your needed amount before you join, twist the free end one complete turn, then join." The free end is the first chain I make? What I can't understand how do I make a complete turn? Could you draw a picture of this.
Instructions in Crochet magazines say to crochet a rectangle...then join.

Crochet your scarf to be the length that you wish.

Take the end where you have ended up, give it a twist and join it to your starting edge. This will put a full twist in the body of the scarf.

Here is a detailed explanation of a Mobius strip:

Play with a piece of paper to get the idea before you go finish the scarf if you don't understand it.

Hi Marie, I just got back today, I was running around Las Vegas with my family for the Thanksgiving Holidays. OK what I mean is say you need 25 ch, you would chain 25, then BEFORE you join the chain to make a circle you would give it a twist. Does that make any sense ? If it doesn't just let me know. <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

ThanksEva. Your explanation does make sense. I know how busy the holidays are for everyone but actually I am not in a hurry to make the Mobius scarf. I like your way better (without the seam) and not the method Crochet magazine published.

I got this idea because of several past mistakes......when I was younger and it would say BE CAREFUL NOT TO TWIST, and I thought I WAS CAREFUL, hehehehehe. So I figured give it the twist at the very begining when you join for no seam.
