Hello,

After reading the many posts about the Amaryllis, I am very intriqued, and thinking of growing one of my own.

Have i left it too late to start? or shall I be patient and wait?

The best thing, I feel, is to call a reputable nursery, or county extension service and ask them. The extension service will probably have literature (free) about growing them in your area. At least ours does, and it is part of University of Florida. You may have a local garden club you can call. I have no idea where you live so I can't be more specific. I am in NW Fla, and the amaryllis in the ground finished blooming recently, so chances are if I took a bulb and planted it now, it would not bloom this year (due to the heat, it's getting hot here), but would get on schedule and bloom with the others starting next year. Good luck! <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
