All of those are excellent points, freespirit! I will add these:
1. Not having to go through being pregnant, doing IVF or adoption.
2. Not having to go through the hell of giving birth. ICK.
3. By not procreating, we don't contribute to the continued overpopulation of Earth.
4. No diaper changes, bottle feeding, potty training, tons of laundry, having to stay home because of sick kids with snotty noses and puke all over the place.
5. No worries about raising and being responsible for the life of another human being, and even if a person has a kid and tries to "raise them right," there's no guarantee that the kid will turn out well.
6. Sleeping in on the weekends. (Which kinda correlates with your #7, freespirit.)
7. No having to get up in the morning and not ony get yourself ready, but also a kid or two or more! GAK!!!!!
8. Having a little bit more money to spend on the things you want. (Read: Not rich, but just a little bit more extra to spend). Like, last week, hubby and I were able to pay for dual massages at a spa and stay in a nice hotel suite for 2 days. For my birthday week, we'll be spending 4 days at an awesome bed and breakfast 2 hours outside of the city. Yummm...... No way we could do these things if we had kids.
9. Going to any restaurant we choose without ever having to worry whether they have high chairs or not, which severely limits the choices of the types of restaurants people with kids can go to. *LOL*
10. When your co-workers complain about how bad their kids are acting, you can mention how good your cats, dogs, ferrets, etc. have been.
