I just tried these new Caribbean skin care products. There is a natural sunscreen that doesn't leave your face white and a natural insect repellent. I purchased them from www.nutrivene.com I took them to Punta Cana with me and they really worked. Just wanted to let everyone else know incase you are looking for something natural this summer.

I have not tried the arbonne line but I know of it. My problem with it is that it is expensive compared to other similar products. I looked at the spf 15 sunscreen on the website and it only said it absorbed UVA. You want to make sure you get a product that protects against both UVA & UVB. It may, I just didn't read it on the site. Also, do you know if it contains zinc oxide? Zinc oxide is the only ingredient that is FDA-recognized as having both UVA & B broad spectrum protection. I am assuming you are a consultant for the company. Can you tell me the ingredients in the sunscreen? I am always open to trying new products. I just want to make sure they are 100% natural and worth the money.

Without having contacted the company that sells it, I can only tell you what the label reads: "...Sun Shield sport contains natural zinc oxide in a new patented transparent form. Zinc oxide is the only ingredient that is FDA-recognized as having both UVB and UVA broadest-spectrum protection. ..."

My personal experience is that I hav been using it for over a month and still look like Casper. No harmful rays seem to be getting to my pasty white skin:)

The quantity of zinc oxide will make adifference in the SPF factor. You need not contact the company. As per US laws, any company that claims sun screening effects, must mention the SPF factor clealr and must be approved by the FDA. otherwise, it is not reliable. Thy are not supposed to sellthat in the USA and this can be brought to the notice of FDA. If this company is sure about its product, it should get FDA approval. I wonder why they are not doing that.

This sun screen has an SPF on it of 15. I would assume that they are approved by the FDA. I don't use an SPF above 15 because most of the research I have read claims the prevention is minimal over this factor.

For more information on FDA guidelines about sunscreens you may refer to FDA website.
http://www.fda.gov/cder/otcmonographs/Sunscreen/sunscreen(352).pdf

If the product is approved by FDA, it should say so clealrly.

Hmm, thanks for the info...I may check this out...I have pretty fair skin, and have been using SPF 30 for years...My favorite that I've found so far is Coppertone sport b/c it's not so greasy and has helped me prevent burning thus far...
