I just read this yesterday and it was really good. It was written by two of the people who co-wrote for Sex and the City.

It's nice to find a book in large part written by a man that encourages women to raise their standards and makes you laugh at the same time.

Emily--if you get a chance to review this it would be cool to hear what you think of it. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the hot tip, Alexa. I think Sex and the City probably had some of the best TV writers of all time, so that sounds like a promising read. I'm curious to see if many people have read it.

I have read it and it is an interesting read...and an eye opener. The same authors wrote another book called "It's called a break up because it's broken" I bought it, but haven't read that one yet.

Personally, I think the book is ridiculous. It creates a false reality for women, and that there is going to be a man out there for each one of us that will do EVERYTHING we expect and/or need, without us having to compromise, and that is absolutely absurd. There is no man out there who will be at our beg-and-call if we aren't willing to put forth an effort as well. I think the book is trash, and though I feel it is extremely important that women keep their standards and expectations high, it is also important to not get caught up in the falsity created by this book. Live your life in confidence and pride, but knowing you will never have it all, there will be hardships and difficulties, and you will be hurt, but it's going to be far worse if you live by the standards of "He's Just Not That Into You." Sorry girls, the book sucks, but it's entertaining to read how truly ridiculous some of the questions women ask, I just pray to God they are not real questions by real women.

Read it for mere entertainment purposes, but do not live your life by the standards the dumbass who wrote it tried to create, I'm sure you are all far more intelligent that that.

It's a better idea to read the book "You're Just Not That Into Him Either" it's more realistic, and speaks to the 30+ single woman, who shouldn't settle just to have a man in her life, and that being single can be far more exciting and rewarding, but to not give up on love and relationships.

It has a lot of statistics and factual information, but it's very good.

Well the "dumbass who wrote it" is married so he must be somewhat on track.

I don't believe that anyone should read a book, especially a self-help book, and set about structuring their life around rules or restrictions within the book--that would make us mindless idiots. A book is supposed to be read for entertainment purposes and new perspective, but I find it interesting that the thought of women raising their standards and expectations would agitate you so much.

I read the book. I think it's interesting and informative, but definitely should be taken with a grain of salt. The thing is, no one should be reading the book thinking that every rule in its absolute entirety applies to them. For my friends and I who have read it, it's just a reminder that we are deserving of someone great. Basicallly someone else reiterating the fact that you are wonderful and if someone isn't treating you that way, it's best to move on.

Just my two cents...
