Could some tell me where I can get a pattern for stoma covers? I get the Care Wear newsletter where there is a request & pattern for one but I can't figure it out.

Hi Marie, Just so happens that I make stoma covers for a lady. I will have to go find the pattern. I do remember that the top part can not be any type of fancy stitch, just single crochet and that the size is approx 4 inches wide by about 6 inches long, about 2 1/2 inches of the length should be made in single crochet. the ties should be approx 9 inches long. At her request I made them out of the metallic crochet thread. Does that help at all ?

The information you posted does help. After reading the newsletter more carefully I found an address and e-mail to contact for information. The request is from a hospital in Waterbuty, CT
"Although whit matches most clothin, it tends to show soiling quickly. Don't use vibrant colors.Mercerized crochet cotton is preferred.A long chain 50 for ties to allow for swelling of the neck.

I can't find it but I'm still looking, I know they did not take me long at all to make and they used up 1 ball of the metallic thread bought at wal mart. I'll find it promise.
