Wonderwoman and LostLoveFriend what a great movie to bring up! A classic of love cut tragically short--makes me cry every time too. Actually, I just watched it again about two weeks ago.
The line that LostLoveFriend mentioned is one of the best movie lines around. Ali McGraw says that she is smart and poor and Ryan O'Neal is stupid and rich, and Ryan O'Neal haughtily questions why she would think he's stupid, and she suddenly says,
"Well, I wouldn't go for coffee with you" to which he replies
"I wouldn't ask you" and she finishes him off with
"That's what makes you stupid."
This movie is supposed to be loosely based on Al Gore and Tipper.
If any one hasn't seen this-- netflix or rent it. Or if you are fortunate enough to live in a town with a drive-through theatre check there because Love Story is a time-honored tradition at the drive-through.
