Who they took the DNA from? Nope, just stating a fact in reply to poster Trisha. As far as I know, there was no DNA refusal?

So their attorney says no match, and the prosecutor says arrests will be made. Hmm.

Okay and the beat goes on.

Prosecutor, Mike Nifong is scheduled to meet with the
Grand Jury on Monday. The rape victim has identified
2 men. And, she supposedly identified these 2 men when
the alleged rape took place.

Nifong, ordered the 46 DNA samples, becuz he wasn't
certain IF the rape victim really knew these guys true
and real names, based on the fact they were swapping names.
They were even using the Duke Baseball Team's name at the
party, which they have admitted to.

The DNA results have gone to a 2nd Lab.
Two players DNA was found on the floor and on a towel.
This is making Nifong question some things.

They are trying to find the person who made the 911 call
informing them a rape was taking place.

The attending doctors & nurses are saying rape.
The report which the lacrosse players atty's read
from isn't saying this could have happened.

Two of the Duke Students and players of the Lacrosse Team,
were arrested, but are out on bond on $400,000 each.

The indictments have been sealed, we don't know all the charges but one has been rape.
Prosecutor, Mike Nifong is expecting one more arrest to be made.

As of this morning the lacrosse player, which sent the
disturbing email hadn't been arrested nor indicted.

Here's an article that I read about the case. This one talks about defense evidence that may prove the boys innocent. This whole thing is very intense and unfortunate. There are a bunch of related articles on the site, too...I hope they get to the bottom of it...

From what has been released so far, they have no evidence to indicate these guys are guilty.

Welcome to the forum.

I presume the Grand Jury must have evidence, which the public isn't privy, too.
And, this is the reason, they have chosen to indict them.
One of the Duke students has supplied a taxi receipt an ATM receipt at the time
which the rape allegedly occurred.
I guess the prosecution has evidence, which is making them dispute this or not buy it.

I have been watching Catherine Crier and CourtTV, along with many others.
There seems to be, which is normal 2 totally different sides of what the evidence is showing.
Meaning, from the Defense and Prosecution.

Perhaps, but the statements so far have indicated the indictments were solely the result of the accuser identifying them via a photograph. Additionally, they have released evidence which claims to support the fact that one of the guys arrested was not at the party at the time the alleged attack took place.

Please do not misunderstand me. There is no punishment to great for a rapist or anyone else convicted of a violent crime. However, our justice system is based on the fact that you are innocent until proven guilty. These guys have not been proven guilty yet. If they are innocent then they are a victim in this case as well.

I wished people did believe you were innocent until proven guilty.
That's how it is suppose to work. Most people who are charged don't feel this.

I'm not surprised they are being found guilty right now.
This is a high profile case & in high profile cases citizens formulate their own opinions
and reach their own conclusions.

I just watched CourtTV, Catherine Crier the entire gamut of shows.
There are so many conflicting reports, etc.

For every bit of evidence presented by the Defense attorneys etc,
there is another piece of alleged evidence to dispute it.

There are so many conflicting stories, that I can't wait to see what happens at trial.

And, yes I presume that the prosecution has evidence, which we aren't privy too.
I've yet to see a prosecutor divulge everything they have.
At least not to the public.

There is allegely a woman who lived next door to the house where this took place.
She supposedly has spoken with the rape victim's father. He reports, that she heard a woman yelling, screaming, crying, things being broken and the sounds of someone falling.

He reported this weeks ago on Rita Crosby.
He stated, his daughter's face had been beaten & bruised.
That, she looked like she had been in a prize fight.

Another report is saying she may have been given the
drug GHB - Mike Nifong has alluded to this.

And, 2ndly I hope the grand jury would stand in honor of what they are to represent.
To decide to move forward with indictment, because the evidence they have reviewed
has merited a probable cause.

The same way people should be presumed Innocent and they are not -
I'm presuming the Grand Jury is honorable with their decision to indict.

I personally will be glad when they are found innocent or guilty.
Because, this to me is turning into a farce.
It's an American Tragedy the way the Media and Public are behaving.
It's ashame.

Any news on Collin Finnerty? He is 1 of the 2 indicted.

Apparently he committed some violent crime against a gay man some years back?

As of today, things are pretty much the same.

The 2nd DNA results haven't come back and for every bit of evidence the defense
has to present, the Prosecution has something to dispute it.

Unfortunately Mr. Finnerty committed gay bashing, which is a Hate Crime
in November 2005, that was only a few short months, ago.

He and 2 other guys physically assaulted and used slurs against their victim.
He rec'd 25 hours of community sevice, then his record was expunged.
Not good!

As a matter of fact, 15 of the lacrosse players have criminal records.
And, the alleged rape victim has a tainted past.
I'm not speaking of her Exotic Dancing I'm not a person who judges that.

I'm sad the way the Media and all communities of people have handled this - just sad.
