Are you happy with the username that you have on this forum? I'm a bit fed up with mine...I've no idea why I chose familychoice, I think I must have been feeling a bit dizzy at the time. What do you think of your username and what would you....*

familychoice, you always amuse me!
I haven't yet decided whether you are totally sane yet or not...
I chose Bella_Harmony because I moderate both the Asthma & Classical music sites, and this seemed a good way to show I was an editor and bring in my sites, as does my avatar (which took me forever to create!)
If you are not happy with your name, you can change it. Just go into your settings on "MyHome" at the top of the page and there is a place where you can change it. The only limitation I believe is that it can't be over 16 characters. So if you've thought of a name that fits you better, go for it!

You're so funny, familychoice--who knows what we're thinking when we do stuff sometimes? Those are the moments that make me scratch my head--I mean, I think I'm "there" for/in the moment, but suddenly there's something I obviously wrote or said, and I'm wondering where did that silly thing come from? Someone shoved me out of the way and wrote or said it
But it's your picture that should be the clue--maybe change your name to Snidely

I'll tell you how I got my username, I think it is really cool! A few years ago, (the year I joined Bella) a mama Mallard started coming into my yard with her boyfriend, looking through all my flowerbeds and bulbs, etc. A few weeks later, I was out weeding around my rose bush and I hear this weird noise about 6 - 8 inches away from my hand, kinda like a hissing sound. I don't care much for snakes so I immediately pulled back and then noticed SHE was nesting underneath, hidden by the bulbs.
Well, I wanted to find out as much as I could learn about how long it took for eggs to hatch, then what they did, what they ate, etc. By the time I started to interact with the mama, the "babies" were born and she whisked them off the next day to the water (my pool cover for a few days). I could call her by "quacking" and as the babies got bigger and started flying, they flew in groups over the house, and I could "quack" at them and they would fly in for a landing and get some corn. It was really fun.
So, I thought that the username "babyquacker" was appropriate, and kinda cute for the ducks! My friends and neighbors think it's a hoot that I can call in different generations of ducks from that original family that nested in my flower bed. By the way, one of the group manages to nest around here every year!

Hey, Trish, that reminds me that we have had a green heron nesting in our back yard for the past two years--what kind of cool username could I get out of green heron? Any ideas?

I'm really new here, so I haven't had time to rethink my choices yet. One of my friend's little girls heard DH call me baby. Her mom insists on the courtesy of "Miss" or Mrs. and the next time she tried to get my attention she called me Miss (MS) Baby. It happened on the day I registered here so...I'm msbaby

Ahoy! I didn't realise I could change it...well bless my beard! Any (polite) suggestions greatfully received. I like the heron thingy, and I also want to get the word 'trousers' in there too, but herontrousers doesn't really work. Or greentrousers, trouserheron, familyheron*

I will be sad if you change your username. Why? Between the beard, and your humor, (maybe we're related) one might get the impression you are "out there" , in a good way. I am not saying I think that. But then one's eyes focus on your username, which may send the message that you have a family which you care deeply about, so much you are proclaiming this to the whole world. At this point one probably gets a warm fuzzy feeling for you and your beard, and it is all good. Or, maybe it is moi that is out there. On the other hand, heronthingy might be a good one. The blue herons live by me and I named them Harry and Harriet.
